The subway is v convenient but it’s actually comical the things you see/think/feel every day on your commute. Here’s what is usually running through my head on the 12 stop F train ride…

Body Heat:

Is the person next to me aware that my thigh is hot? I’m really aware that my thigh is giving off heat to their thigh. Are they okay with our thighs touching? I mean I don’t like it but there is also no room and my thighs are v thicc.

Personal Space:

Why does this person feel it’s okay to keep their butt pressed against my butt. That’s about it. Just a butt to butt issue

Sanitation:

Why don’t people sneeze into their elbow like they teach you in elementary school. Like is it necessary to sneeze into your hand and then grab the pole? Also coughing. Shouldn’t we be coughing into our elbows instead of in people’s faces? I feel like this is how the next plague/apocalypse will start.

Sweat:

Does everyone notice that I am sweating like a pig in parka? Because I definitely feel like people notice. I mean they probably don’t, but also I feel like this woman to my left keeps staring at me. WHY AM I SO SWEATY?!
